This webinar is organised by the IWA Working Group – Alliance for Water Sensitive Urban Design and Planning.

Water sources like rivers, lakes, and ponds, along with their surrounding areas, are feeling the pressure from rapid urbanization and climate change. To tackle these challenges, experts are turning to innovative nature-based solutions that work hand-in-hand with traditional infrastructure. This approach not only guarantees a reliable and clean water supply but also helps create cities and landscapes that can withstand the impacts of climate change. The webinar will discuss two inspiring case studies from different corners of the globe (Catchment to Coast programme in the UK and Bhoj Wetland Restoration project in India) highlighting how water-sensitive design and planning can seize current opportunities to enhance flood management and improve water management in catchment areas.
