The CIRSEAU project started on 1 September 2024 with its Kick-off Meeting in Brussels (Belgium) on 11 December 2024. Watershare partners EURECAT, KWR Water Research Institute and National Technical University of Athens will collaborate in the project aimed at building a collaborative ecosystem that generates strong synergies among the Circular Water Economy Community formed across EU projects. This initiative of 5 European projects to increase water use efficiency and reuse expands from the CIRSEAU cluster of B-WaterSmart, REWAISE, ULTIMATE, WIDER UPTAKE and WATER-MINING.
The CIRSEAU cluster projects contributed to the circularity of the European water ecosystem by identifying alternative water sources, reducing water consumption, increasing use efficiency, recovering valuable materials from water, producing carbon-free water cycles, and strengthening resilience to climate change.
The new project is funded by the European Research Executive Agency as a 36-month Coordinated and Support Action (CSA) to enhance market uptake, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
